The Goddesses of Rayearth

It was so awesome to finally wear these costumes out at AN! Looking back on it, I think we started on everything mid November or so, and we started wig searching in September! So these have been a long time coming.

We went into the max with pretty much no expectations. Hoping for something with all the work we put into these, but I wouldn't have been devastated with nothing. It's Anime North, my first time competing in the AN masquerade, and it's frickin huge! Not too mention all the amazing costumes in it this year. So to say it was a major shock when we got Best in Show would be a huge understatement XD Video of our skit is here : [link]

Gillykins did all of the resin casting, as well as all of the metal work and armor bits which is mostly craft foam and memory wire - that stuff is awesome btw

I made all of the tassels and flower wreaths

Chibi-Lenne did most of the serging / sewing bits and we all worked on draping the fabric.
