The Boy who rose from Ice by Jayuna The Boy who rose from Ice by Jayuna
Costume: Colonial Jack Frost
Series: Rise of the Guardians
Debuted: Con-G 2013

I love the fact that I live right behind a part of frozen lake Ontario. This location was literally steps away from a back door to my apartment building! I really enjoy the fact you can almost see the wind in this picture from the blowing snow.

Huge props to my roommate who braved the slush/snow storm to snap a few pictures of me <3

Everything on the costume is made by me. Both vest and cloak/pant fabrics are varying colours of faux suede. Shirt is a quilters cotton. Shirt was drafted, and cloak and pants were modified from patterns. The paint was dry brushed with a toothbrush which had varying lenghts of bristles so I got some really cool effects that way. The paint is a mixture of a pearly white/silver, a light blue, blue glitter, and silver glitter to add dimension.

Wig also styled by me. First time really putting spikes in a wig! I hope my attempt worked out okay~ It's actually a pretty light silver even though it looks a bit darker than that here.

Staff is literally made up of braches held together by duct tape Its one huge birch branch as its base and 3 smaller pieces I cut. The base was then covered in two layers of paper mache and there's a a bunch of layers of detail painting.

Thanks for looking~

It ... Was more than slightly cold, but I wasn't out in them for more than 30sec at a time at least~ and some of the shots made it worth it :)
