Cosplay: Fancytier! Rose Lalonde in a design by the fabulous
Cosplay by me!

I really like this full body shot~ You really get to see a lot of the details!!
Most of the costume was drafted and everything was made by me (including most of the jewelry!!). The costume is actually 2 layers, not including the drape on top. The top dress is pretty much everything in the darker orange and the hood/cape were also attached to that. Then there was an underdress underneith I made out of spandex essentially (actually the same sort of spandex I used for my canon gt rose!
) so that I could have the 'tail' bit of the dress at the bottom while still being able to fit the bottom of the top dress as it actually goes below my knees! There is a small zipper inserted at the back of my knees on the top dress so that I could unzip it to walk around the convention, and zip it up when I wanted the full effect of the 'mermaid'-like dress shape. The 'tail' portion is actually two circle skirts sewn together than to the spandex - the bottom one being a stretchy slightly shiny golden orange with a layer of chiffon on top.
All the brighter yellow was appliquéd onto the costume and the darker gold was all inseted. The top gold part is a chiffon overlay which I had machine sewed to pipping and hand stitched down to the costume. Main gold/prole belt was made from a gold chain, circular (donut like) gold beats and oval purple beads which I glued together and stuck on the chain. Though not seen here there are two more chains of beads in purple and blue that hang down at the top point of where the belt hits and the drape is tied. I also made the earrings with blue beads to add a little more of that blue into the costume and one of the black necklaces. The red jewelled belt and one of the black necklaces were both owned by me previous to making this costume and were bought. The bracelets were all bought seperately in different colours I thought symbolized Rose (yellow, gold, orange, dark purple, some pink, and light blue) that I mixed to get the effect seen. All painting on the hood was acrylic mixed with a fabric medium so I could get the colours I wanted and there are two lines of red Swarovski crystals (approximately 30-40 I think) that go from the eye down to the point of the hood.
I made this cosplay in combination with a friend's Kanaya in a costume that was also designed by the artist.
You can see my friend's Kanaya costume and some shots with the two of us at my friend's tumblr Here~~
