Yay photos of Sakura! <3 Thank you so much to Jack for doing the shoot with me, the photos look amazing!!! <3
Costume: Sakura Kinomoto, costume from the small scene at the beginning of the second movie Series: Cardcaptor Sakura
The costume was debuted at Anime North 2011.
I was so happy to finally cosplay Sakura! Cardcaptor Sakura (or how I originally knew it, Cardcaptors) was what I'd like to say as my first real anime, the first show where I knew the series was from Japan (I watched some of the Japanese DVDs). Sure I loved Sailor Moon, but I didn't know it was an anime until later I'm kinda suprised it took me this long, but I'm glad I finally choose to do this costume! Thanks to Stillvisions for giving me the idea of this costume!
Everything on here was sewn by me. All the yellow was a broadcloth that I interfaced and made into a sort of 'bias tape'. The blue is all a royal blue galaxy twill, and the white is a twill as well. Everything except the gloves was also pattern drafted. Most of the yellow detailings (the stars on the hat, bits of the white cape-thing and the back of the blue cape (which I don't have a picture of ><) is apppliqued on but the big star in the blue dress was insetted. All the gold stars were bought from Michaels, the sold the large ones and the small ones seperately and I glued the two together (loved how they looked!) All the lace was also bought, and sewn twice (topstitched after the first round) to keep it up.
I guess the two things I can't take credit for here are the Star Wand, which I commissioned from the amazing featherweight, and the sakura cards themselves, which I had bought years ago.
Awwwwww Thank you so much Vicky! And haha, I wouldn't be jealous! You always look amazing in your photos, I can't ever look serious without it going into derp face territory! XD
